Project Summary
The main target of the project was to improve the conditions of urban transport in the Romanian cities Bucharest, Sibiu and Ploiesti. For each of these cities a detailed Urban Transport Master Plan was developed.
IWW's main task was the elaboration of socio-economic forecasts for Bucharest, Sibiu and Ploiesti at the level of urban districts, as a basis for passenger transport demand estimations. This task was carried out by integrating national and regional trends with specific developments at the level of city districts under consideration of urban development plans.
