Sustainable Mobility in the Upper Rhine Region
Project funding
The SuMO-Rhine project is co-funded by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE)
Project summary
The SuMo-Rhine project will support the development of sustainable mobility solutions for regional and urban transport in the Upper Rhine Region. The main focus will be attached to cross-border traffic. After a careful analysis of transport policy objectives – ranging from the EU to the national, and the regional and local level of cities and communities in the Upper Rhine Region –, an indicator-based tool will be developed which allows the assessment of existing sustainable mobility concepts, and the identification of appropriate sustainable mobility solutions for the future.
The SuMo-Rhine project will also establish an intensive cross-border dialogue and knowledge transfer on sustainable mobility concepts among cities and communities of the Upper Rhine Region.
