The SuMo-Rhine will support the development of sustainable mobility solutions for regional and urban transport in the Upper Rheine Region. The main focus will be attached to cross-border traffic. After a careful analysis of transport policy objectives – ranging from the EU level to the national, and the regional and local level of cities and communities in the Upper Rhine Region – an indicator-based tool will be developed with allows the assessment of existing sustainable mobility concepts, and the identification of appropriate sustainable mobility solutions in the future.
The SuMo-Rhine project will also establish an intensive cross-border dialogue and knowledge transfer on sustainable mobility concepts among cities and communities of the Upper Rhine Region.
